The Retail Design Institute and Gunnersen’s held the Institute’s first event for 2009 on Tuesday, March 3.

Gunnersen was again proud to sponsor an event for the Retail Design Institute. This event was an outstanding and inspiring start to 2009, and featured both an overview of the international work of the Retail Design Institute by architect Peter Harrison, former President of the Institute’s Australian branch , and a KEYNOTE presentation from notable guest speaker, the preeminent Futurist Richard Watson.

Our sponsorship of this event celebrates our success in obtaining chain of custody certication and coincides with the launch of Gunnersen’s 2009 catalogue and the expansion of our decorative product offer.

to listen to Richard Watson, leading Futurist, international writer and preeminent speaker present ‘Scenarios For The Future Of Brands’. Richard is founder of What’s Next – a website that documents new ideas, innovations and trends from around the world. He is the author of new book, Future Files: A History of the Next 50 Years and a columnist for Fast Company magazine (US), Inside magazine (Australia) and Online Banking Review (Australia).

Richard has been a keynote speaker at engagements for many organisations and conferences including the triennial International Thinking Conference held in Melbourne in 2005. In his capacity as a consultant, he advises a broad range of clients on issues surrounding long-term strategy and innovation projects. His clients have included banks, supermarkets and airlines, both in Australia and around the world.
