Landini Associates is a multidisciplinary design company working across brand strategy, retail and hospitality design, both locally and overseas. Many of the brands that they have invented are iconic and populate the every day life of Australians. Being multi-disciplined means that Landini often designs every customer touch point from his client’s identity, website and packaging, to the uniforms their staff wear and the spaces that they wear them in. Liquorland and Vintage Cellars, Woolworths and Thomas Dux and everything from Harrods102 and Leon in London to Jones the Grocer in Singapore and Jurlique internationally have been invented, named or designed by Landini Associates.

Mark Landini was formerly Group Creative Director of Conran Design Group in London, a role he inherited from Sir Terrence Conran, and prior to that Creative Director of Retail at Fitch and Co, the worlds first publicly listed design company.

“Small is the new big” is a look at how many brands, in the face of globalization are learning from, and often mimicking their smaller more agile competitors. A look at how “large” is no longer that “compelling” to customers in search of something “real”.
